Peugeot Eco Cup - details of the rally
A few days ago, appeared on the blog entry promoting the program Peugeot Eco Cup . For all interested in taking part we present the details of the rally route and the conditions which must meet the potential participants.
The competition is open to any adult person residing in one of the following countries: France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Belgium - Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, Denmark, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Turkey. The competition is organized AUTOMOBILES PEUGEOT, located at 75 avenue de la Grande Armée, 75016 Paris (France). The competition runs from 13 January to 2 March 2010i is titled "PEUGEOT ECO CUP".
Participants should have a valid driver's license, allowing the driving, issued before at least three years, recognized in France and Switzerland. Persons must be prequalified to dispositions:
- On Saturday 20 February 2010 to serve eco-driving training,
- From Saturday 27 February 2010 at h. 14th in Paris (France) to 2 March 2010 13:00 in Geneva (Switzerland)
The competition was divided into several stages. The first is the pre-qualifying via the Internet.
The first stage of the competition will be played at: www.ecocup.peugeot.com
To participate in the "PEUGEOT ECO CUP" participants should enter the above-mentioned website between 13 January 2010, from the hour. 10th and 10 GMT February 2010, h. 12th GMT. After entering the website the participant must select the State in which its place of residence.
The participant must make a choice from among four car models: Peugeot 207 HDI, HDI 308, HDI 3008, HDI 5008, knowing that if you pass the first stage of the competition, in the second stage will apply for an award and competed leading model chosen by him and marked in form.
The participant is obliged to give in the prescribed form box on the following question: "Who do you think could be called eco - the driver." It is allowed only one registration from one family (the same name and address). Participant is entitled to participate in the contest once by a single registration.
On 11 and 12 February in each of the 18 countries the competition jury will select four participants. In each country will be selected one winner for each of the four categories - those cars, according to previous car choice by the participant.
The winners of the first stage will be entitled to participate in the second stage of the competition, described in Art. 3.2 below. At the end of the first stage has not yet entitled to receive these awards.
The names of the participants identified as winners of the first stage by a jury from each country will be published on the competition website on 15 February 2010, the Participants will also be notified by phone or by e-mail and are required to immediately confirm the participation of the other stage of the competition and to send by e-mail or fax a copy of the license held.
Availability of 4 participants, the winners of the first stage of each country is required from Saturday 27 February 2010, h. 14th in Paris to go on Sunday 28 February 2010 in Paris (France) to Geneva (Switzerland), to Tuesday, 2 March 2010 h. 13th arrival time.
Second stage: participation in the "PEUGEOT ECO CUP".
Each of the 72 patients (4 per country) selected as the winner of the first stage is required to choose a pilot, who is a person also must have a license that allows for driving out in the first stage.
Persons selected in the first stage of the competition, and their pilots are required to attend on 20 February 2010 in the free training in eco - driving. This training will be organized around the capital of the country of his domicile. Details of the training will provide participants with Automobiles Peugeot at the right time.
For each composition will be made available to the vehicle model selected in the first stage. The vehicle is fully fueled and the fuel filler valve is sealed. In the trunk of the vehicle will be located in well sealed, full fuel canister. The vehicles will doważone so that each vehicle of the same model, including passengers and luggage, have the same mass. Participants will be given details of the raid and the travel card.
The contestants will have to travel a designated route to trying to use the smallest possible amount of fuel. They will also have to reach a specified address - run - not earlier than 30 hours and no later than 36 hours of departure.
Selected will be four winners, one for each vehicle model. For each vehicle model will be the winner contestants, who will defeat the route consumes the least amount of fuel, provided that overcomes the prescribed route and time limits that will not open the sealed canister of fuel. Determination of fuel consumption will be made as follows: upon arrival will be removed seals from the fuel tanks, tanks of vehicles will be full tank of gas. The amount of fuel which will fit in Baku will be confirmed by a bailiff and will be accepted that it is equal to the quantity of fuel consumed during the competition route.
On Tuesday, 2 March 2010, all participants are required to go along with the vehicles they used in the place that they will be indicated where, during a press conference in the morning will be an official announcement of who was the winner and what prizes were awarded.
AWARDS
Winners receive the following:
- Winner in the category Peugeot 207 HDi: Peugeot 207 car door, 1.4 petrol engine 75 hp with a value of 12 900 Euros (gross price 12 900 Euro) according to the price list of cars in France 10A current 4 January 2010
- Winner in the category Peugeot 308 HDi: Peugeot 308 five-door car, the engine 1.4 VTi 75 bhp with a value of 17 950 Euro (gross price 17 950 Euro) according to the price list of cars in France 10A current 4 January 2010
- Winner of 3008 HDI category: Peugeot 3008 1.6 VTi, 120 hp with a value of 21 350 Euros (gross price 21 350 Euro) according to the price list of cars in France 10A current 4 January 2010
- Winner in the category Peugeot 5008 HDi: Peugeot 5008 1.6 VTi 120 hp with a value of 21 850 Euros (gross price 21 850 Euro) according to the price list of cars in France 10A current 4 January 2010

If the model of the vehicle in the State of residence of the winner corresponding to one of these models have different specifications, the specifications of the model in France, the winner will receive a model of the vehicle in accordance with the characteristics laid down for the state, where his place of residence.
Vehicle which the prize will be issued by an authorized retailer Peugeot closest to the address of the winner. Release the vehicle to take place before 30 June 2010
REFUND
Travel costs, return, accommodation and meals will be covered by Automobiles Peugeot and manner within the limits defined:
- The journey from the capital of the country in which the participant is resident in Paris on 27 February 2010: a train ticket 2nd class. Economy class ticket on the plane, if you travel by train takes more than 5 hours
- The cost of accommodation (double room) and meals from Saturday February 27 to Tuesday evening, March 2 at noon, inclusive,
- Return from Geneva, the capital of the participant countries on 2 March 2010: a train ticket 2nd class. Economy class ticket on the plane, if you travel by train takes more than 5 hours.
The above-mentioned provision of transport, accommodation and meals will be organized by Automobiles Peugeot. Automobiles Peugeot will give participants detailed information at the right time.
