Carminat TomTom on Renault
March 3 2009. in Geneva, TomTom introduced the TomTom Carminat integrated navigation, which was created in collaboration with Renault. The solution is an integrated Carminat TomTom satellite navigation, which will be available to the mass market in the latest passenger cars to Renault. The device will cost 490 Euro. Carminat TomTom offers all the unique features of TomTom portable navigation.
Carminat TomTom solution will be available in new models of the line Renault Clio, Megane and Scenic. When you work with Toyota , this is another product offered to a particular car brand.

Integrated navigation Carminat TomTom can be fully updated with the latest changes on the maps using TomTom HOME free software. Just burn the needed software on an SD memory card and then insert it into the SD memory card reader next to the Carminat TomTom screen LCD
The software and services available to users of the Carminat TomTom solution shall include Map Share ™ technology, which helps drivers to cope with unexpected and stressful changes in the road by the amendments introduced by TomTom users themselves. Unfortunately, what "loads" to the TomTom navigation (07.2009!) Is a complete match (map of "Eastern Europe"). Detail road map is worse than Google Maps (!). None of the existing roundabouts for several years and more than a hundred (!) Years of the streets. "No way" where AutoMapa gives even house numbers ... Not quite a considerable rivers and bridges over them ("easy way") and a frost during the relevant information. No current information on the location outside the inscriptions on the map (just the number of road) - after "wyjechaniu for the words" do not know where you are. So sluggish viewing the maps in either mode. Striking imagination in setting road - now believe that you can enter the lake listening to the navigation. On several occasions, just common sense saved me from entering the route even terrain - TomTom can not "see" a simple way to the field directing a wilderness (of course, choose the fastest route, avoid unpaved roads). As a dessert - TomTom Home ... does not support this as a device carminanta so off buying new maps via the Internet, downloading a copy of the safety of additives and very little done on the computer - to configure the device, or plan a route that awaits you in the car seat and slow wave joystick or external download programs (eg, Tyre), or use of the routes tomtom (no info road to the Polish and the ability to add points "-through", copy the entire route (only points of the route - but the rest of the car) ... Well, 60 days opportunity to "upgrade" - we will update ANYTHING - because the map is what was very full of holes. For solace - the screen is readable even in direct sunlight and use (panel) possible without taking your eyes off the road, but so what ... All the rest is "how to discourage the user to navigate." predecessor words confirm in its entirety. That's all, unfortunately, "the hard way" after the previous (very good) experiences a AutoMapa and (occasional) MioMap ... My dream is this sumer removes a TomTom and start my (still with the current license and regularly updated) AutoMapa

Some nonsense you write. Map of the Carminat do not differ from those in TOMTOM. Plan a route very well, at least logical. He previously used the automap, and not once told me to go down a country road. In addition, he could not lead twice in the same way. So do not exaggerate.

Unfortunately, this loss of money on navigation. I have a tab TOMTOM Eastern Europe and, unfortunately, this map is worse than that of the normal navigation, which I had so far. It does not keep the house numbers and this kind of feature in it. As someone wspomnail above this map is not current. In the center of Prague completely a bit lost in the one-way streets. To go to a course you need a map achod purchased with the card because it has 2 gb renault so if we also have a Polish map we bought this 4gb card. Badziew scary but cool thing is that it is incorporated, no need to connect the charger. Well, remote control is a hundred times easier.
